Brian Hamm, is leading McDaniel’s push into the future of reservoir engineering and upstream evaluations. In recent years, Brian has focused on modernizing and supplementing our history of conventional reservoir engineering with world class, basin wide databases and analytics. Brian works closely with our engineers, geologists and software developers to ensure that we continue advancing our technical capabilities without losing sight of the reservoir engineering and client service fundamentals that have been the bedrock of our company for over 60 years.
Brian’s background includes the evaluation of oil and gas reserves and resources for annual reporting, reserves certifications, debt financing, due diligence reviews and acquisition. Brian also provides his expertise in an advisory capacity performing economic & technical analysis for private equity, pension funds and foreign investors interested in the acquisition or funding of unconventional resource development. Brian participates in numerous industry committees and regularly presents on unconventional asset evaluation, development and optimization.
Cam Boulton P.Eng.
Executive Vice President
Cam Boulton leads the International Division of McDaniel evaluating oil and gas reserves and resources around the world in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs, onshore and offshore, for the purposes of annual securities reporting, reserves audits, and acquisition and divestitures. In the past five years, Cam has led buy-side advisory projects in nearly 20 different countries and has extensive experience providing technical and financial advisory services in properties outside North America. Cam has considerable experience with the assessment of exploration prospects and portfolios using deterministic and probabilistic methods and risk analysis.
Cam has presented on reserves and resources definitions, specific plays in South America and emerging oil and gas areas at conferences in Canada, United Kingdom and Kazakhstan. He has served on the Technical Committee for the 2016 World Heavy Oil Congress.
Michael Verney P.Eng.
Executive Vice President
Mike Verney contributes his expertise in evaluating oil and gas reserves for economic evaluation and is responsible for preparing McDaniel’s quarterly price forecast. Mike has evaluated numerous heavy oil and bitumen projects at varying stages of development. He has significant experience evaluating unconventional tight oil and gas reservoirs and provides technical and advisory services to financial institutions and foreign investors interested in Western Canadian resource plays.
Mike is a current author and part of the steering committee for the revised version of the Canadian Oil and Gas Evaluation Handbook (COGEH). Mike is also the current Chairman of the Canadian chapter of SPEE and sits on the Petroleum Advisory Committee for the Alberta Securities Commission.
Jared Wynveen P.Eng.
Executive Vice President
Jared Wynveen has broad experience evaluating oil and gas reserves with a primary focus on preparing economic evaluations for annual securities reporting and debt and equity financing. In addition to evaluating numerous heavy oil and bitumen projects, Mr. Wynveen has considerable experience evaluating unconventional tight gas reservoirs in Western Canada, including the Montney, Spirit River and numerous Mannville formations; as well as tight oil plays in the Cardium, Viking and Bakken formations. Jared provides technical and advisory services to financial institutions and foreign oil and gas companies interested in Western Canadian resource plays.
Jared is also a strong supporter of industry education and is active as both a presenter and organizer of many industry conferences and workshops run by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, The Canadian Heavy Oil Association and the Canadian Society for Unconventional Resources.
David Jenkinson P.Geol.
Executive Vice President
Dave Jenkinson is responsible for the geoscience team at McDaniel. His background includes geological and petrophysical interpretation in support of petroleum and natural gas reserve evaluations for conventional and unconventional oil and gas fields in Canada, the United States as well as numerous oil and gas fields around the globe.
Dave’s recent focus has been providing detailed geomodels at a basin scale for resource plays in North America. The combination of geomodels with well and completion design data has led to significant enhancements in our ability to quantify the impact of geology on unconventional well performance.
