When Rod McDaniel established McDaniel and Associates Consultants Ltd. in 1955 the growth and potential of the company became a fast realization. Looking beyond reservoir engineering and the early days of this pioneer, seven decades later McDaniel still stands for innovative thinking and leadership in an ever-changing industry.

McDaniel is focused on unravelling the complexities of the Energy business. We accomplish this with a strong and diverse team of engineers, geologists, economists, data scientists, technicians, and researchers. McDaniel is built off of a 70-year history of providing trusted third-party advice and evaluation in the petroleum industry.

Today, McDaniel continues to be a leader in petroleum evaluations around the world as well as providing consulting and research products in acquisitions and divestitures, carbon technology (CCUS), and machine learning. Our clientele primarily consists of upstream petroleum companies, private equity, pension funds, banking institutions, midstream companies, and government agencies.
